Bathing your pet | Do's and Don'ts
While routine bathing of your favourite furry friend may be fun, it is unnecessary. Our pets’ skin is self-cleansing and unless there is a veterinary medical reason to bath your dog or cat, it shouldn’t be done as a matter of routine. If you are one of those pet parents who simply have to have a pampered pooch, you should choose a shampoo that is friendly to the natural PH of your pets’ skin.
Regular brushing of your pet helps to disperse the natural oils on your pet’s skin which in turn helps to condition the coat. This means of grooming requires no water and it is probably one of the safest and most effective ways to keep your animals skin and coat in top condition. Most animals absolutely love being groomed by their owners, it’s a form of bonding and is a natural ‘pack’ behaviour.
